Terms & Conditions | Frequently Asked Questions Thank you for participating in the Ad Council's Media Advisory Panel! You have an important point of view about the key issues facing your community, what would make your job easier, and other issues. And we want to make sure that your point of view is included in the Ad Council's decision-making process. By joining our new online panel of Media Professionals, you can make your voice heard to the Ad Council. Our goal is to learn from you how we can serve you better, so that you can better serve your community. You will receive about 1 short survey per quarter. Your individual responses and contact information are strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third parties. And a few weeks after you take a survey, you will receive an email with key survey results, giving you insight on the thoughts of your peers. This registration survey will only take about 5-10 minutes. If you work at more than one media outlet, please answer these questions thinking about the one at which you spend the most time. Please review the terms and conditions below: Terms & Conditions Please note that by registering as a member of the Ad Council Media Panel, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and it is your responsibility to read and understand them. 1. Membership to the Ad Council Media Panel 1.1 You must be over 18 years old to register with the Ad Council Media Panel. 1.2 Membership to the Ad Council Media Panel is free. Membership is personal to you and is not transferable to any third party. You may only join once. Lightspeed reserves the right to refuse your membership application. 2. Your Membership on the Ad Council Media Panel 2.1 You will be asked to provide an email address in order to register with the Ad Council Media Panel. 2.2 You will be responsible for ensuring that any and all details held about you by Lightspeed (including your email address) are kept up-to-date and correct. 3. Data Protection and Privacy 3.1 By submitting your application to become a member of the Ad Council Media Panel, you consent to Lightspeed holding, storing, processing, and using the information you submit for the purposes of market research. Your personal details will not be disclosed to any third party without your permission. Please note that information disclosed by you will not necessarily be stored anonymously but will be stored securely. If you do not wish Lightspeed to use data submitted by you in this way, please do not submit your application to the Ad Council Media Panel . 3.2 You are referred to the Privacy Policy of the Ad Council Media Panel, which forms part of these terms and conditions. In summary, the Privacy Policy says the following; We are not trying to sell or promote anything through this research panel. We will not mislead you about the research, the answers you give us will be confidential and your co-operation is voluntary at all times. We use cookies and other similar devices sparingly and only for quality control, validation and to prevent bothersome repeat surveying. Our web site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. 4. Termination 4.1 Lightspeed may terminate your membership immediately, by notifying you by email if one of the following events takes place. 4.1.1 You breach any of these terms and conditions; or 4.1.2 You misuse your membership to the Ad Council Media Panel, or use it for any improper purpose; or 4.1.3 Lightspeed 's right to process and use information, which is necessary to carry out the Ad Council Media Panel, is legally withdrawn by law or otherwise. 4.2 If your membership to the Ad Council Media Panel is terminated, for whatever reason, all of your entries into members benefits, prize draws, or other programs offered by Lightspeed, will also be terminated, and you will not be entitled to participate in such programs. 4.3 You may terminate your membership to the Ad Council Media Panel by emailing Lightspeed at helpdesk@AdCouncilMediaPanel.org 5. Changes to and termination of the Ad Council Media Panel 5.1 These terms and conditions may alter from time to time. Lightspeed shall notify you by email in the event that these terms and conditions change. 6. Communication 6.1 Any communication or notices to be given under these terms and conditions shall be by email. You can email Lightspeed at helpdesk@AdCouncilMediaPanel.org. You are responsible for ensuring that Lightspeed has your current, correct, up-to-date email address. Notices and communications under this agreement shall be effective and deemed delivered immediately if sent by email to the last known email address of the other party. 7. Jurisdiction 7.1 These terms and conditions shall be the entire agreement between you and Lightspeed. 7.2 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction, save in respect of enforcement of judgments where their jurisdiction shall be non-exclusive. 8. The Ad Council Media Panel 8.1 You undertake that all information you give in relation to the Ad Council Media Panel will be as accurate as possible. 8.2 The Ad Council Media Panel and the information found on the website is subject to change without notice, at any time. 8.3 The views and opinions contained on the Ad Council Media Panel website are not necessarily those of Lightspeed. 8.4 Lightspeed shall not be liable for any losses, costs, or expenses, howsoever caused, arising out of your membership to the Ad Council Media Panel (which includes indirect, consequential, or incidental losses or damages). 9.
